Community Care

At Code Rouge, we fight for a world where people and the planet are prioritized over profit. But real change isn’t just about what we protest against, it’s also about how we treat each other along the way. That’s where Community Care comes in.

We are here to ensure that, while we resist, we also nurture. Our goal is to create a space where everyone feels seen, supported, and empowered. Activism can be exhausting, both physically and emotionally, and we believe that caring for one another strengthens our movement. Together, we can go further.

What We Do:
Before the action: We help you feel prepared, emotionally and mentally. If you have any concerns or need a little reassurance, reach out to us early.

During the action: You’ll find us in green vests, available if things get stressful. Whether you need a break, a chat, or someone to help you refocus, we’re here to listen and assist.

After the action: Activism doesn’t end when the protest is over. Code Rouge hosts emotional debriefs where you can reflect, share your experiences, and connect with others. We believe that caring for yourself and others after intense moments is a vital part of building a sustainable movement.

Why It Matters: Community care is more than just offering help, it’s about challenging the individualism that the system thrives on. We aim to build a culture of solidarity, where each person’s well-being is everyone’s responsibility. In doing so, we create a stronger, more resilient movement that can withstand the pressures of activism.

By taking care of ourselves and each other, we are already modeling the world we want to see: one where no one is left behind, and everyone’s humanity is valued. So, if you’re feeling overwhelmed or just need a moment of care, don’t hesitate to find us. Together, we’re not just fighting the system: we’re building a better way of living.

Let’s care for each other, today and in the future, as we build a new world that puts the planet and the people first.
